This week, Plarium announced that patch 5.10 for Raid: Shadow Legend has arrived. Thanks to the update, Shadowkin Faction Crypt will open as a result! Here is what you should expect from the updated and upgraded Raid: Shadow Legend.
Cool New Things Available Via Chaos Ore
Chaos Ore can be used to change the stats and sub-stats of a variety of Artifacts. We've all found, after completing a Dungeon, that the Substats of our Artifacts weren't exactly what we were looking for. Before patch 5.10, the only thing you could do with these subpar Artifacts was to sell them for gold. Now, by using Chaos Ore, you will be able to reset all the stats and get something better, saving energy and time!
Artifacts will require Silver and Chaos Ore to be reworked, which can be obtained through Gear of Ranks 5 and 6. Chaos Ores need to match the Rarity of the Artifact you want to rework, and their Rank must be the same as well. You can only rework one Artifact per day. A limitless amount of Ore will be available for you to gather, and you will be able to store it in your Ore Storage, accessible through the Rework tab in the Artifact Upgrade menu.
During the rework of an Artifact, both its main stats and its Substats are randomly generated. Helmets, shields, and weapons are not affected as long as the main stat is locked. The stat bonuses will be kept even if the Artifact has already been upgraded. However, the Sub stats themselves will lose their bonuses – they will just gain the bonus equivalent to the Artifact Level. If you reforge Artifacts you've already spent many resources on, however, you'll lose all upgrades.
We Should probably mention here that at the moment Mythical Artifacts will not be eligible for reworking.
Right now, Chaos Ore will be found mainly through Events and Tournaments, although a few Limited Special Offers may also provide it. In future Release Notes and Update Highlights, we'll make mention of any changes.
Shadowkin Crypt Important Changes
After Update 5.10 goes live for Raid: Shadow Legend, a new Crypt will be available. While this won't bring too many changes in itself, one aspect stands out.
You will have to complete the Shadowkin Crypt to claim Lydia the Deathsiren as a reward for completing the Faction War Challenges. It will not affect Lydia, however, since you will no longer be able to acquire a duplicate. However, you will still earn more rewards by completing Faction Wars Challenges.
Since the Update will likely go live in the middle of the Faction Wars cycle, the new Crypt won't be available until after the new cycle begins. There will be no changes to the requirements. Lydia can only be obtained by completing the Faction Wars Challenges after the Crypt opens
Extra Considerations for Raid: Shadow Legend
The Champion Vault will gain 100 extra slots. In addition to adding new rank and rarity filters for artifacts and accessories, we'll also add a filter that allows you to hide Gear you've fully reworked with Chaos Ore. You can also select everything at once if you want after filtering for the Gear you want.
